Europe	France	Mont Blanc	4,807m	10.06.1964	Mont Blanc was my very first 4000m mountain. On 10-06-1964 at 8.30 I reached the highest point together with Martin Waibl. In the future I would stand on the "roof of the Alps" another two times.
Europe	Germany, Switzerland, Austria	Greater alpine area	2,000m- 4,500m	from the beginning until today...	My ultimate alpine aim was to climb all 4000m mountains of the Alps. I haven't done all of them, yet, but I conquered 56 out of the 66 alpine peaks that are higher than 4000m. I did some of them even several times (date 10-2006). My greatest loves are Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, Weisshorn, Piz Palü, and of course Matterhorn.

I climbed all these peaks several times in winter and in summer. Valais is where my heart is.

Europe	Switzerland/Valais	Matterhorn	4,478m	10.08.1990	The peak is finally reached via Hörnligrat and after numerous trials had been thwarted by bad weather conditions. My friend Schorsch Gruber was with me.
Africa	Kenya	Mt. Kenya	4,985m	February 1991	Reached Lenana Peak.
Africa	Tanzania	Kilimanjaro	5,896m	01.03.1991	Reached both peaks (Uhuru Peak and Gilman's Point) even before the guide. In return, my snoring drove all my colleagues from the hut. Next morning, everybody was tired except me, how come?
Asia	Nepal	Chukhung Ri	5,540m	October 1992	This peak lies in the Khumbu Range - below the long-drawn Nuptse massif.

Oceania	New Zealand South island	Mt. Cook	3,780m	December 2000	In spite of the long journey, the peak could not be reached because of an unexpected onset of wintry conditions. For days on end there was snow, rain and fog. The holiday with Andrea, however, more than outweighed the disappointment !

Europe	Germany Austria	Neighbourhood	1,500-2,500m	Spring and Summer 2005	Perfect preparations were indispensable for the planned expedition to the Pumo Ri in Nepal in October. Therefore, I "scoured" several peaks in the neighbourhood, sometimes even before breakfast.
Asia	Nepal	Pumo Ri	7,145m	October 2005	The tragic accident of a climbing sherpa (who fortunately survived) drained me of all energy and motivation. So, I broke off after the first high camp. Europe	Republic of Georgia	Elbrus, Caucasus Mountains	5,642m	June 2006	Unfortunately, I couldn't reach the summit due to very bad weather. The fog was so thick, you could slice it with a knife. About 200m below the summit we turned round and descended.
Europe	Germany, Italy	E5 Crossing	800m-3,500m	August 2006	Together with Hermine and Adolf we crossed the Alps on the Oberstdorf - Meran section of the famous E5. Weather was not exciting - but still we had great fun.
Europe	Switzerland/Valais	Pollux	4,092m	September 2006	This summit was long overdue. On 10-09-2006, I reached the top together with Konrad Göbel.
Amerika	Argentinien	Aconcagua	6.960m	January 2007	At this attempt I had to terminate my accent due to painful backache again. Finally I reached an altitude of 6.500m, then I returned to camp 3, where I was waiting for the other colleagues.
Asien	Pakistan	Gasherbrum II	7.035m	June 2007	Thix expedition is marked in my mind forever. First died a female member due to lung oedema, then I had to terminate my accent because of terrible backache. Later on I was additionally troubled by an awful diarrhoea. So I decided to return home before expedition is end. Arrived at home I took notice abaout an avalanche-accident where 4 members of my group have been cought. One died, another has been buried by the snow and the remaining two montaineers have been injured heavily (see report from news paper). At home my doctor diagnoes a strong dehydration accompanied by an acute kidney disease. It took me two months to recover. This experience let me to the definite conclusion to stop all high altitude activities.
Europa	Schweiz/Wallis	Höhenwege	bis 3.200m	August 2007	Not quiet from my Pakistani troubles I enjoyed some hiking tours in the Zermatt and Saa Fee region in Switzerland. Together with Konrad and Renate we spent two weeks in this familiar corner of the Alps. I was remembered of a few 4.000m peaks which are still missing in my list ....
